Bayhurst Woods

In preparation for an upcoming exhibition, I’m reviewing images I took back in November 2017 of Bayhurst Woods in Ruislip, UK. I used the technique of smearing Vaseline on to a lens filter, using a paint brush with brush strokes in one direction. This works, I think, quite well with images having strong verticals.

Bayhurst Wood is evidence of the ‘Wildwood’ that covered England after the last Ice Age, about 8,000 years ago. You can read a little more about Bayhurst Wood and the larger Ruislip Woods, that Bayhurst Wood is part of, here and here.
